What I'm doing now
A /now page — the format comes from the indie-web movement. Here is what I am currently working on, what is taking my attention, and what is coming up. Updated whenever something material changes.
As of: May 2026
Active projects
- FlowGlow Lighting — Google Home integration in production; rolling out to the first existing customers.
- Anonymized industrial engagement — refactoring a DATEV bridge; Q2 close expected.
- This site — ongoing small improvements (notes, /now, performance).
Open capacity
- One discovery workshop per week available.
- New projects starting Q3 — small to medium scope preferred.
- Fixed-price advisory engagements (architecture review, stack assessment) any time.
What I am thinking about
- How far can you push Coolify + Hetzner before a Kubernetes setup pays off? (Spoiler: further than most assume.)
- LLM-assisted classification — when it genuinely beats regex heuristics.
- View Transitions API in production — impressions after the first migration.
Reading
- “Building Reliable Distributed Systems” — re-reading the Aphyr blog as background noise.
- Notes on Anthropic Claude Skills — interesting for self-hosted tool integrations.
- Hetzner status page — as ongoing ambient information.
What is a /now page? A convention started by Derek Sivers — a short, current status page instead of a static "about me". nownownow.com/about ↗
